Kavak Vocational School Building Inspection Program was established with the letter of YÖK Executive Board dated 22.09.2011 and YÖK approval letter dated 28.09.2011 and numbered 6500-041710. This program is subject to the 120 ECTS credits first stage degree system in the field of Construction Inspection in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are provided, an associate degree is obtained in the field of Building Inspection. Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the YKS-Higher Education Institutions Exam. High school graduates are placed in the Building Inspection Program with a TYT score.

Goals and Purposes

The educational purpose of the program is to train intermediate technical staff who have the knowledge and skills to produce and implement projects in construction companies that produce goods/services in the construction sector, architectural offices, companies that make applications on the construction site, concrete plants, insulation companies, relevant public institutions and organizations, and also provide supervision of these works.

Employment Opportunities

Students graduating from the Building Inspection Program are employed in building inspection companies, construction companies that produce goods/services in the construction industry, architectural offices, companies that practice on the construction site, and relevant public institutions and organizations, in line with the qualifications they have gained.

Transition Status to Undergraduate Programs

Graduates who complete this program can transfer to the following undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS):

• Civil Engineering,
• Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.
